I became obsessed with user-centered design in 2004 after my first HTML prototype scored poorly in user testing and have been learning ever since.

Throughout my twenty-plus years of experience, I have grown to appreciate not only how beautiful a design is but, more importantly, how it can make someone’s life easier. I believe true innovation lies at the crossroads of human needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities.

When I’m not doing user interviews or leading projects, I can be found building prototypes - usually a new app concept or the next piece of furniture we’re planning to buy. I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my amazing partner Natalie and our goofy dog Riley.
